I've been letting our artists know for the last couple of months and now it's time to make things public.  I am retiring from publishing and Agency Publishing will cease to sell comics after December 31st, 2015.  It occurred to me this summer I spend more time recruiting, marketing, and submitting DMCA responses to people stealing our content than actually creating the content.  It isn't how I want to spend my time.  I have two children entering grade school, so I seek a simplified life to focus on them and focus on my day job, which has become more challenging, exciting, and involved than I would've thought possible.

It's been a fantastic run and you guys have been amazing supporters throughout this process.  Here's what will happen:

Our website will go down December 31st, and much like our old TickleTown clips, the comics will not be available to purchase on the website going forward.  So if you want to check out a series, do it now!  There are only 2.5 months left to buy our product.

We will release The Agencies #25, The Ruthless #17, Tickle Magnet #10 and Hunted #8 before the end.  These will be the final issues of their respective comic lines.

If you have questions, let me know!

Thanks Vagner, for giving The Ruthless such a steady, distinct, and high quality look for the last few years!  The productivity and quality have been truly amazing.

Sorry to hear that, i need to really catch up with the agencies and ruthless issues now theres a time limit.

As an idea couldnt u just sell the comics you have already on images4sale once you close the site?

You have about 2.5 months!

I may put them up for sale in the future, but not right now.  There's too much overhead with the legal and tax implications, for a service that charges 40% off the top.  Not worth it.

Wow that's... sad :(
Really sad, cause I enjoyed every work of you and your artists.
Feels empty to know, that all the great stories will not come to an edn :(

But.... I understand your step (stealing makes it all worse)  and wish you only the best for your future

I have a question to you.
YOu know I really enjoy all of your works. Hunted and Yelena the most, and thinking about, that the stories never will end makes me sad.
So I wanna to ask you something (maybe it's a mean question and I hope I will not insult you):

Is there a chance, that you give your fans and customers the stories and ends for your comcis?
I mean, a short written text, which tells us, what will happen next in the stories and how they end?

Is this possible? I would be dying if I never would know what will happen to Gretcen and Yelena. To the Agency, to the Ruthless, in the Magnet etc.

Greatings, Deemon

Will the Ruthless series end with Rylie back in the Ruthless's fiendish fingered grasp?

I'm curious to know a couple of things
1) Will you be deactivating this account and deleting all its contents?
2) Do you intend to have the comics from the site be put on sale since the site going to be shut down?
3) Will any of the series or characters published under this name go to another fetish publisher or are all the writers and authors going down with the site too?

1.  Probably not.  I will let the subscription lapse and I haven't looked into what that means.  I may delete the TickleTown content, but don't see a reason to delete any of the comic book content.

2.  No, I have no plans on selling any of our digital products after December 31st.

3.  No, the content will die with the site.  I'm a little sad to see Hunted go after Jon and Yuri poured their hearts into it.  I have no problems working with them if they want to continue the series, but it's a lot of work, so it's certainly not something I'm pushing onto them if they want to focus on other things.

1.) That's good. I found out about Tickle Town too late so I have no idea what came from it so deleting it won't bother me any. I'm glad you're keeping the comic stuff up as reminders of what used to be.

2.) I meant will you be chopping the prices on the comics as the countdown begins. I'm not trying to be cheap or anything but $12.95 is still pretty expensive for an online comic. I'm sure you have your reasons but that is just my opinion. Maybe $9.99 or something like that since the site is shutting down. Just a suggestion.

3.) Damn, everything? The characters, the stories and all those years of hard work gone? I know Yuri is on here but the other artists are going to be hard to see go. Hopefully one of them at least makes an account on here or tumblr to at least share any art they make after December. Man that is heartbreaking to hear they won't have any sort of presence online anymore.

2.  No, we're leaving prices as is.  Keep in mind our biggest discount for large purchases is 25% so our 12.99 books are 9.75 with the discount, which is under your suggested decrease.

3. The artists will still be here, I gave them more advanced notice than I gave our customers so they could have bridge to find other work to bridge the gap.  We are not their sole employer in most cases, many of them do this for a living so they work for several different publishers.

You never know.  These are comic books, right?  And comic book characters never really die, they just get rebooted endlessly :)

But hey, even Agent Succubus can come back from the dead, there's always hope.  Just not in the forseeable future.

Yes piracy has been a rather unfortunate side effect of offering items in the digital age.  It has sapped my strength to continue.  I'm entirely out of quarters and extra lives :)

Although not entirely the reason for the decision, it doesn't help.

I understand completely.  It's one thing to rip off Activision or EA when they release an incomplete buggy product at full price then have the gall to call the patches DLC and charge extra, but pirating from a community member is just low.

Dang, and I thought my future plan downloadable content patch for all our books, which would include the ending and the actual tickling parts, was marketing brilliance.

The most best of luck to you and your family going forward!

that's really disappointing to hear :/ but at the same time I can understand.

...what about Patreon though? Have people donate every month for content... heck, maybe entice larger donations by having reward tiers such as having a drawn version of you or your OC make an appearance, or even having them be an actual character interacting with the leads?

Just a suggestion.

Everything's possible.  Patreon would be a financial setup, and this decision isn't based on money.  Rather, based on time.  If someone wants to run something for me, I'm all ears.  But it's apparent to me after looking at my building inbox and unanswered correspondence and subpar marketing representation that I lack the long-term time commitment needed to do the job I need to do with this artwork.  That may change in the future.  But for now, it's just a matter of time.

We wanted to give everyone a head's up to give people a little bit of time to save and purchase whatever they wanted to round out their collection before our series stopped being sold.

It is sad; it is an end of an era.

Indeed it is. It makes me wish I had bought more during the time you were here. I especially wish I had found out about your Tickle Town site before it went down. Based on the sample pics here and what you shared on the forums, those looked like they were going to be a blast.

Good luck to you in the next chapter in your life. I hope you're at least still around to appreciate all the tickle related work that comes after you retire.

Thank you for the kind words.  TickleTown was fun while it lasted.  The gals I worked with were real girl next door types, rarely fetish models, and I always liked what that brought to a shoot.

Luckily there are still mountains of content from both a video and comic book point of view, so I feel good that you're all in good hands as consumers.

Thanks.  In the meantime, we will dutifully release everything promised, unless something terrible happens to any of the current artists (I sure hope not).

I want to thank you for your support, but morally and financially, over the years.  It's people like you that keep artists going, creating amazing things.  So don't ever stop being you!
